Description
SOUL built this valved exhaust to give the 4.0L 718 two usable characters, mild and wild. With the valves open, exhaust follows the layout of SOUL’s Race Exhaust through an X-pipe that merges both banks for a higher pitched, smooth sound. With the valves closed, it runs through smaller piping and a bespoke SOUL muffler packaged above the rear diffuser, with straight-through perforated cores and a second internal X-pipe to smooth drone in the 1,800 to 3,000 rpm range. With the factory over axle pipes, SOUL describes the change in tone as smoother and higher pitched, closer to the flat-six character of earlier Boxster and Cayman cars. It is designed to pair well with other aftermarket parts such as over axle pipes and headers without becoming overbearing, and closing the valves cuts the outside volume when you want to keep a low profile.

Good to know
- The system’s drone tubes are not compatible with the factory over axle pipes as standard; if the car keeps its factory over axle pipes, say so when ordering.
- Choose the manual or PDK version to match the car.
- Made for North American cars; European cars need a SOUL conversion kit at extra cost.
- SOUL publishes no emissions statement or CARB EO number for this system; check local emissions and noise rules before fitting.
