Description
SOUL built this system for 991.1 Carrera owners who find the factory exhaust underwhelming, aiming for a Jekyll and Hyde character. With the valves open, exhaust takes a straight path through larger diameter tubing, smooth radius bends and an X-pipe crossover, which SOUL says improves throttle response over the restrictive factory exhaust and gives a Cup car inspired sound with more volume and more crackles and burbles on deceleration. With the valves closed the factory side mufflers keep the tone reasonable and refined, with drone kept to a minimum. The 991.1 Carrera has a natural drone range at 3,000 to 3,500 rpm once higher flowing parts are added, so SOUL engineered Helmholtz resonators (anti-drone tubes) into the system to filter it. SOUL also designed it to stay pleasant when paired with aftermarket headers. This version is for the base Carrera without PSE: the factory side mufflers are cut and the included secondary pipes clamp on to connect them to the tips.

- Maker wording: fits all Porsche 991.1 Carrera Base models without PSE ONLY (2012-2016)
- Not for base Carreras with PSE, or for the Carrera S or GTS: SOUL sells a separate 991.1 Carrera valved system for those cars. 991.2 Carrera (2017 and later): SOUL sells a separate system.

Good to know
- For base Carreras without the PSE button only. Cars with PSE, and all Carrera S and GTS cars, need SOUL’s other 991.1 Carrera system.
- The factory side mufflers must be cut to fit the included pipes to the tips, per SOUL.
- SOUL notes that fitting the valve controller means removing the rear bumper, finding and tapping a 12V switched power source, and running vacuum lines.
- SOUL publishes no emissions statement or CARB EO number for this system; check local emissions and noise rules before fitting.
- Professional installation highly recommended by SOUL; installation is not included.
